Definition |
The registered motor vehicles represent the road vehicles licensed to use public roads, based on their registration in the records of the competent authorities which supervise traffic on these roads. Trams, trolleybuses and military road vehicles are not included. Passenger car is a road motor vehicle, other than a moped or a motorcycle, designed for passenger transport, with no more than nine seats (including the driver). The bus and the minibus are vehicles for passenger transport, with a capacity of more than nine seats (including the driver). The goods road motor vehicle is the vehicle designed for transport of goods (lorry, road tractor). The lorries for road transport of goods (goods road motor vehicles excluding road tractors) refer to both motor utilitarians and specialized motor vehicles for goods transport. Motor utilitarians - road motor vehicle destined for the transport of goods, without special arrangements (truck, fourgon). Specialised motor vehicle - road motor vehicle destined for the transport of goods for which special arrangements are built (tip-up lorry, concrete mixer, isothermal tank, refrigeration tank etc.). The road tractor is the road motor vehicle designed, exclusively or mainly, to haul semi-trailers. The towing road tractor is the road motor vehicle designed, exclusively or mainly, to haul trailers, provided with a platform for ballast. The special purpose road motor vehicle is the road motor vehicle which is not mainly designed for passengers or goods transport. This category includes: fire brigade vehicles, vehicles for recording radio, TV, mobile cranes, bulldozers, towing vehicles for vehicles in need of repair, other vehicle. |
