TRN135A - Passengers transport in intercity and international transport, by mode of transport 
Definition The variable presents the number of passengers transported during the reference period, using means of transport particular to the concerned modes of transport, in intercity and international transport.
Railway transport includes passengers transported from stations on national railways network to every destination and passengers embarked in another country and disembarked at stations on national railways network.
Road transport comprises intercity and international transport by buses and coaches, mini-buses included.
Passengers carried by commercial air services and passengers transported by inland waterways by national operators are also presented.
Maritime transport includes cruise passengers on cruise passengers excursion - inwards.

Observations Data series for 1990-1993 reference years do not include the activity of private transport operators.
Railways, air transport and maritime transport statistics are compliant with European legislation in force.
Starting with reference year 2008, data on road transport are collected using a methodological approach with licenced passenger road motor vehicle designed to seat more than nine passengers (including the driver) as observation unit.
Since the reference year 2021 the value ''0'' represent data under 0,5 thousands passengers.
