TRN145A - Lenghts of pipelines, by type of pipeline
|
Definition |
The main pipeline is the mean of transport for oil products and gas, built of metal tubes or other strong materials with continuous movement between two points. It is characterised by length and diameter, high pressure when pumping. In the calculation of the length of pipelines, the parts within the oil fields and those supplying gas to the consumers (with a length below 50 km) are excluded. Length is recorded at a certain date, only taking into account the pipelines under operation, namely those on which transport is possible. It is grouped into: - oil pipelines; - gas pipelines. |
