Definition Official development assistance consists of the provision by public institutions or authorities of financial support, goods/services or exchanges of expertise and best practices for the benefit of developing countries, bilaterally or through international organisations.
Official Development Assistance includes both humanitarian aid and assistance earmarked for the socio-economic development of developing countries.
