TUR105D - Staying overnight in the establishments of touristic reception by type of tourists, macroregions, development regions and counties 
Definition Tourist overnight stay it is the 24 hour interval, beginning with the hotel hour, for which a person is registered in the evidence of the tourist accommodation establishment and benefits of accommodation in exchange for the fee paid for the occupied space on the premises, even if the actual duration of stay is inferior to the mentioned interval. The overnight stays for additional beds (paid by tourists) are also taken into account.

Observations The country of origin of the foreign tourist who stays overnight in a tourist accommodation unit is given by the tourist's residence country.
The content of data for years 1990-1999 is: total, of witch, for categories of units. There are distinguish only few categories of units.
In the data series ''the urban boarding houses'' have redefined in ''tourist boarding houses'', and agro-tourist boarding houses include rural and agro-tourist boarding houses; ''hunting chalets'' and ''fishing chalets'' are assimilated ''touristic chalets''.
Start with 2009 ''hotels for youth'' are assimilated ''hostels''.
National Institute of Statistics collects annually statistical data about the tourism accommodation establishments with an existing capacity of 5 bed-places and more.
The data available for 2021 and 2022 are revised compared to those previously published, as a result of the inclusion of the arrivals and overnight stays of tourists staying in apartments and rooms for rent.
