ZDU1511 - Level 3 - Environment - Surface water quality depending on the quality class and the length of the monitored watercourses 
Definition The evaluation of the surface waters quality is carried out by monitoring the biological hydro - morphological parameters, physico - chemical, the prioritary pollution agents or other pollution agents evacuated in important quantities.

Methodology The physico-chemical and biological monitoring of the water resources is done by sections of fast flow control (on a daily and weekly basis) and of slow flow control (on a monthly basis).
Under fast flow, the data are daily monitored for approximately 12 quality indicators in more than 60 surveillance sections located on important rivers near the main water sampling and discharge sections.
Under slow flow, the data are monitored for 50-60 quality indicators.
The determinations are carried out within the laboratories of physico-chemical, biological and bacteriological analyses organised at the level of the Basin Districts and of the Water Management Systems.
