Methodology It is calculated by decreasing the mortality rate of the resident population from the birth rate of the resident population.
It is calculated by decreasing the mortality rate of the population by domicile from the birth rate of the population by domicile.

Observations Until 2011, the number of live-biths included live-births whose mothers have their permanent residence in Romania and whose birth was registered at Civil Status Offices within Romania.
Until 2011 the number of deaths included deceased that had their permanent residence in Romania.
